What's new in Flowy

New features, improvements and fixes: everything we ship, as we ship it.

v0.6.0
Feature

Flowy on your phone, Flam clips and a community asset gallery

Every surface rebuilt for phones with a new Create hub, transparent Flam clips as their own section, one-click publishing for any asset, and video trimming on the canvas.

  • 5-10s Flam clip length
  • 4 Media types you can publish

Flowy on your phone

Every page has been rebuilt for phone screens. A five-tab bottom bar carries Home, Community, Create, Library and Profile, and the raised Create key now opens a full Create hub at /tools: one filterable grid of every quick tool, the model generators and the canvas, with a cost on each card. Tools open as full-screen sheets with the chrome out of the way, and opening a project on a phone shows a hand-off screen with a copy-link button instead of a canvas you cannot drive.

Flam, transparent motion clips

Flam is now its own section next to Image, Video and Audio. Write a prompt and get a 5 or 10 second alpha-channel clip you can drop over any footage, with aspect ratio, resolution up to 4K, optional audio, reference media and a start frame. Every Flam opens in a dedicated viewer where you can preview it over a checkerboard, a solid color, your own image or your own video, tune the keying, download it or send it straight to a canvas.

Publish any asset to the community

Assets now have three visibility states instead of one. Keep something private, share it by public link without listing it anywhere, or publish to Community so it appears in the new gallery at /community/assets alongside images, videos, audio and Flam clips from everyone else. Viewers can like, save, download, copy the prompt and model, or add a piece straight to their own library. Publish one asset from its menu or a whole selection at once, and find what you saved under Saved or on your profile.

Trim video on the canvas

Video nodes now carry a trim control. Set in and out points, apply, and a trimmed node appears beside the original with the source left untouched. It runs in your browser, so it costs no credits and needs no render. Image, video and audio nodes also gained a model picker in the inspector, so each node can name the model it generates with.

New

  • Video to FlamKey the subject out of any clip up to 15 seconds into a transparent Flam. No green screen needed, just say what to keep.
  • Brand kits on generateAttach a brand kit to a generation from the generate page, or extract a new one from a website without leaving the form.
  • Voice previewsPlay a voice before you commit to it in Voiceover, Change Voice and Translation.
  • Relight demoDrag a light around a product photo on the Relight overview to see what the tool does before you run it.
  • Default asset visibilityWorkspace owners and editors can set whether new assets start private or with a public link.
  • Node settings inlineAspect ratio, quality and the other node pills are editable straight from the node footer.

  • One plans pagePlans live only on /pricing now. The old billing upgrade page and /upgrade redirect there with your context intact, and the Adjust usage estimator came along.
  • Model deep linksLinks from the navigation land on a generate page with the model already chosen, shown as a card with its cover art instead of a bare name.
  • Pinch to zoomZoom is unlocked on the dashboard, community, library and settings. Only the canvas still holds the zoom fixed.
  • Toasts on phoneNotifications appear at the bottom of the screen, clear of the tab bar, instead of behind it.
  • Theme from the footerSwitch between light, dark and system from the site footer.
  • Example output detailsApp examples list image dimensions and clip duration, not just a thumbnail.
  • Brand kit extractionReading a website for its brand shows an animated scan instead of a plain spinner.

  • Chained video effectsTwo client-side video tools on the same node now apply in order, instead of the second one rendering over the untouched original.
  • Empty text nodesBackspace on an empty text node deletes it, and clearing text to retype no longer removes the node from under you.
  • Node dropdownsNode option pills open a real dropdown that follows canvas zoom and pan, instead of an unstyled native select.
  • Credit estimatesA failed price check shows an error instead of spinning forever.
  • Expand size capsExpand no longer produces images past the 2560px side or 4.19MP limits.
  • Stale data after sign outCommunity and app pages no longer show the previous account's data for a moment after signing out.
  • SVG logo uploadsBrand kit SVG logos are sanitized against script-injection paths the old sanitizer let through.
  • Design token round-tripExporting and re-importing brand kit tokens keeps font weight, dimensions and the kit name.
  • Text transitions on exportText clips with a cross dissolve no longer disappear from the rendered video.
  • Timeline playbackDrop-frame timecode is parsed correctly, J, K and L restart playback at normal speed, and background colors keep their transparency on export.
v0.5.3
Fix

Cookie preferences, clearer pricing and a smoother site

Choose which cookies you allow, compare plans side by side, and move around the site with smoother page transitions.

Choose your cookies

A new cookie preferences panel lets you accept or reject non-essential cookies individually, instead of an all-or-nothing banner. Consent now loads without holding up the rest of the page, so the first paint isn't stuck waiting on it.

Pricing you can compare

The pricing page has a full plan comparison table, and long feature lists collapse into panels you open only when you need them. Every paid plan now quotes its monthly credits the same way, so the numbers line up whichever plan you're comparing.

Smoother route transitions

Moving between pages now shows a progress indicator and a matching loading state instead of a blank pause, across the dashboard and the editor.

  • Top bar upgrade buttonFree workspaces now show an upgrade button right in the top bar, so buying more credits doesn't mean hunting through settings.
  • Explore in every sectionAudio, Video and Image each have their own Explore page for browsing examples and ideas before you start.
  • Invite to createAn empty project list on Creator Studio now invites you to start something new instead of gating the view behind a locked message.
  • Posters on landing clipsVideo clips on the marketing pages now show a poster frame immediately and are cached for longer, so they load faster on repeat visits.
  • New background effectAn animated dot-mesh background replaces the old grain gradient across the home page, welcome flow and error pages.

  • Credit display for post-paid plansFixed the credit estimate shown for post-paid pricing models so it matches what you're actually charged.
  • Consent no longer slows the pageCookie consent now initializes without blocking layout, so pages render at full speed on first load.
v0.5.2
Feature

Generate from any model, creator profiles and a faster way around

New generate pages that open on the whole model catalog, public creator profiles with blogs, and a command palette that reaches everything.

Generate pages

Video and Image now have their own generate surface, separate from the quick-feature tools. Pick any model from the catalog, set that model's own controls, and generate straight from the page — every result collects under History.

Creator profiles and blogs

Claim a handle, publish posts and show your work on a public profile at /@yourname, with your projects, blogs and followers all in one place. Posts are written in a rich editor and read on a clean public page, so anyone can browse your work without an account.

Command palette

One search overlay now reaches everything — projects, tools, models, elements and community templates — with scope tabs to narrow the search. The editor uses the very same palette, so ⌘K behaves identically whether you're on the dashboard or inside a project.

Generate signed out, sign in at Generate

Most of Flowy is browsable without an account now — pick a model, fill in its inputs, and you're only asked to sign in when you actually hit Generate. The catalog, tool pages and community are public by default; a handful of workspace-only routes stay gated.

New

  • Model catalog on the home pageThe model bento on the home page is clickable. Choosing a model opens its generate page with that model already selected.

  • Tool pages that load completeEvery tool page now server-renders its heading and description, so the page arrives whole instead of settling into place.

  • Announcement banner spacingThe banner no longer adds an empty strip to the bottom of every page, and the sidebar keeps its full height while you scroll.
  • Sign-in sheet scrollingThe sign-in form no longer scrolls inside its own panel on a normal window.
  • Reliable sign-outSigning out now clears every session cookie variant, so a stale session can no longer linger after you've logged out.
  • Signup email checksSigning up now checks that the email address is eligible before creating an account, catching problems earlier.
v0.5.1
Improvement

A new home, public browsing and simpler URLs

A new home hub, one navigation bar everywhere, public browsing before you sign in, and shorter dashboard URLs.

Browse before you sign in

Community, Creator Studio, Library and the tool pages now render for anyone, signed in or not — actions like Generate, remix or upload simply ask you to sign in when you use them. Sign-in itself moved from a dedicated page into a modal that opens over whatever you were doing, so you're never sent away just to log in.

One home for the studio

The home page is now a proper hub with featured tools, a model showcase and your latest releases, and one navigation bar carries across every public and signed-in page. Home, Projects and Flows live under Creator Studio, with everything else you use day to day at the root of the dashboard.

Cleaner URLs

Dashboard links no longer carry your workspace slug — the active workspace now comes from your last selection, so switching workspaces doesn't mean rewriting every link. Old bookmarked links still work and redirect automatically.

  • Account menu and workspace panelA redesigned account menu combines your profile and workspace switching in one place.
  • Edit profile with social handlesThe Edit Profile form now includes bio, headline, location and social links, with live username availability checks.
  • Linked author profilesCommunity cards now link straight to the author's public profile wherever a username is available.
  • Site-wide announcement barA dismissible announcement strip can now run across both the marketing site and the dashboard.
  • Model providers on the home hubA new bento on the home hub groups every model Flowy runs by its provider, generated straight from the model registry.
  • Fullscreen media in request detailsMedia in the request detail panel can now go fullscreen at its correct aspect ratio instead of being cropped.
v0.5.0
Feature

Viral presets, and one nav across the whole site

Sixty one-click video presets with real examples on every card, plus a single navigation and footer across every page of the site.

  • 60 presets
  • 356 curated examples
  • 5 languages

Sixty one-click presets

Sixty one-click presets turn a single photo into a ready-to-post clip. Motion, model and duration are tuned per preset, so there's nothing left to configure.

Real examples on every card

Every preset card plays a real generated example, and each preset has its own examples page, so you can see the result before spending a credit.

Five languages, including right-to-left Arabic

Flowy now speaks English, German, Arabic, Hindi and French, with full right-to-left layout support for Arabic. Pick your language from Settings → Customisations — the choice is remembered per device.

Flows take as many inputs as you need

Flow inputs can now be variadic — grouped fields that accept anywhere from one to many values, like a gallery of reference images instead of a single fixed slot. The API, the run form and the results view all understand the new arrays.

  • One navigation everywhereThe same nav and footer now render on every page of the site, so moving between the studio, the community and the marketing pages no longer changes the furniture.
  • Assets Viewer flowA new Assets Viewer flow lets you search and preview everything in your workspace library from a single two-pane view.
v0.4.1
Feature

Expand, Outfit Swap and a support center

Expand and Outfit Swap join the quick tools, every tool now shares one layout, and a new support center turns feedback into a real ticket.

Expand

Expand outpaints an image beyond its original borders, filling in new surrounding detail so you can turn a tight crop into a wider scene.

Outfit Swap

Outfit Swap puts a new outfit onto a reference photo, so you can try on a look before committing to a full generation.

One layout for every quick tool

Every quick tool now shares one page layout, with the same media handling and a credit estimate shown before you run anything, so trying a new tool feels familiar and the cost is never a surprise.

Support center

The feedback modal now opens a real support ticket, tracked in a thread you can revisit from a new Support center, with an AI assistant that answers common questions before a human ever needs to step in.

  • Dedicated Change Voice optionsChange Voice now has its own curated set of voice options, tuned for that specific tool instead of reusing the general voice list.
  • Model brand logosModel pickers now show each provider's brand logo instead of a plain text label, so it's easier to spot the model you want.
  • Options bar on nodesCanvas nodes gained a compact options bar for quick access to common settings without opening the full inspector.
  • Connection feedback for charactersDragging a connection from a character whose source has been deleted now turns the line red, so a broken reference is obvious before you drop it.
  • Asset library inside quick toolsQuick tools can now pull an image, video or audio file straight from your asset library instead of only accepting a fresh upload.
  • Media checks before a runFile size, duration, dimensions and aspect ratio are now checked against each tool's limits before a run starts, with a clear message when something doesn't fit.

  • Elements flow polishFixed rough edges in the Elements flow: clearer validation when creating an element, and a tidier toolbar and create-modal layout.
v0.4.0
Feature

Lipsync Studio and a home for audio

Lipsync Studio matches speech to a face across five models, audio gets its own dashboard, and results get a before/after slider.

  • 5 lipsync models

Lipsync Studio

Lipsync Studio matches speech to a face: upload an image or video, then generate or upload the audio track, and pick one of five models — InfiniteTalk, Kling LipSync, LatentSync, Sync Lipsync 3 or VEED Lipsync 2 — to fit the result you want.

Voiceover, Change Voice and Translation

Audio now has its own dashboard alongside Video and Image, with Voiceover, Change Voice and Translation as dedicated tools rather than buried in a menu.

Before/after slider on results

Transformation results now show a draggable before/after slider, so you can compare the generated output against the original in one view.

  • Video and Image in the sidebarVideo and Image each got their own section in the sidebar navigation, listing every ready-made tool for that media type.
  • Run viewer modalA dedicated viewer modal shows a tool's output with options to reuse it, download it, or copy its URL.
  • Live preview while a Flow runsMulti-step Flows now stream partial output as each step finishes, instead of showing nothing until the whole run completes.
  • Connected character nodesMultiple character nodes can now condition a single generation, with a pill row showing which characters are connected.
  • Project cards and tabsProject cards and the Projects tabs now respect your role — restore and delete only show up for owners, and viewers see why a tab is restricted.
v0.3.2
Improvement

Virality analysis, asset details and 4K exports

Analyze any asset for viral potential, browse your library in a full detail overlay, and export anywhere from 480p to 4K.

  • 4K max export resolution

Virality analysis with a brain-activity view

Any generated asset can be analyzed for viral potential: a 0-100 score, a hook and hold-rate breakdown, and an interactive 3D brain-activity map that shows which regions respond to the clip over time.

Asset detail overlay

Opening an asset now brings up a full detail overlay with its own sidebar and stage, and you can step through your whole library with the arrow keys without closing it.

Export from 480p to 4K

Studio exports now cover the full range from 480p up to 4K, with canvas-size retargeting so you can change the export's aspect ratio without touching the editor's own canvas.

Light mode

Flowy now supports light mode alongside dark, with workspace avatars, the brand kit page and the rest of the dashboard retuned to follow the theme.

  • Sign in with MicrosoftMicrosoft Entra ID joins the list of sign-in options.
  • Flowy buddy mascot modeAn optional mascot — Bloop, a small jellyfish — can wander your dashboard, with accessories, colors and movement you can customize.
  • Record a character's voiceCharacter profiles can now include a recorded voice sample, used for optional dialogue dubbing in generated videos.
  • Smooth canvas zoomZooming the canvas is now eased and cursor-anchored, whether you use the toolbar, keyboard shortcuts or scroll.
  • Flows gallery category filtersThe Flows gallery supports selecting multiple category filters at once to narrow down what you're browsing.
  • Scene setup menu in chatScene settings, references and brand kit attachments now live together in one scene setup menu in the canvas chat.
  • Auto thumbnail captureProject thumbnails now capture automatically from your canvas, using a full-canvas screenshot when there's no single hero node.
  • The Flowy blogA new blog at /blog covers product updates and behind-the-scenes writing, with category filters and search.

  • Clearer errors on failed runsFailed runs now show a specific, readable error message instead of a generic failure state.
  • Video node frames UIThe first/last frame controls on a video node no longer crowd out the prompt bar's other actions when both are shown.
v0.3.1
API

Flowy MCP, OAuth apps and voice on the canvas

An MCP server and CLI put Flowy in reach of AI agents, OAuth apps get scoped access, and collaborators can talk over voice on the canvas.

Drive Flowy from Claude, Cursor or the CLI

A Flowy MCP server lets Claude, Cursor and other AI agents drive Flowy directly — new setup pages walk you through connecting it, alongside a CLI for the same workflows from a terminal.

OAuth apps

Third-party apps can now request scoped access to a workspace through a proper OAuth consent screen, and you can review, edit or revoke any connected app from settings at any time.

Voice rooms and cursor chat

Collaborators on the same canvas can now talk over voice, with join and leave sounds and a bar showing who's speaking, plus a lightweight cursor chat for typing a quick note right where you're pointing.

Comments and spotlight

Pin a comment thread anywhere on the canvas to discuss a specific node, or spotlight your viewport so collaborators follow exactly what you're looking at.

  • Push notifications with soundNotifications can now play a sound and show a transient toast, both configurable from your preferences.
  • ⌘K command menuA new command menu opens with ⌘K from anywhere in the dashboard, searching commands and results in one place.
  • Character nodeA new Character node holds a reference on the canvas so its identity locks in across every generation it connects to.
  • Director's mode plan reviewDirector's mode now shows its scene plan for review before running it, so you can edit, regenerate or discard the plan first.
  • Usage view redesignThe usage view was rebuilt with tabs, a KPI grid and an activity heatmap for a clearer read on where credits are going.
  • Version restoreSaved versions now list newest first and restore directly from the version list.
  • Partial results and retryA failed run now shows whatever it managed to generate before the failure, with a retry button that reuses the same inputs.
  • Inspector tooltips and scrubbable inputsNode inspector fields gained info tooltips and number inputs you can scrub by dragging instead of typing.

  • MCP serverFlowy exposes an MCP server so AI agents can create projects, generate media and run Flows directly.
  • OAuth 2.1 appsThird-party apps can authenticate with scoped OAuth 2.1 access instead of a shared API key.
  • API panel on FlowsEvery published Flow gets an API tab with ready-to-copy cURL, JavaScript and Python snippets for running it.

  • Toolbar dock interactionFixed the bottom toolbar collapsing unexpectedly while interacting with its own popup menus.
  • Playing node covering modalsA playing Flam node could render above open modals; it now stays behind them.
  • 3D node logo centeringFixed the 3D node's logo icon sitting off-center.
  • Video timing mismatchFixed a mismatch between a video's reported duration and its actual playback timing.
v0.3.0
Feature

Turn any canvas into a Flow anyone can run

Turn any canvas into a Flow that runs from its own public page, embeds inside another canvas, or gets called through the API.

Build a Flow from your canvas

Any canvas can become a Flow: switch on builder mode, mark which nodes are inputs and which are outputs, and the nodes you pick light up right on the canvas so the shape of the Flow is always visible.

Run Flows from a public page

A published Flow gets its own public page where anyone can fill in the inputs and run it, with a history of your last runs and a dedicated result page for each one.

Embed a Flow inside another canvas

A published Flow can be dropped onto another canvas as a locked node, wired up like any other, so one Flow's output can feed straight into a bigger workflow.

API keys for developers

Create and revoke API keys from settings, then use one to call a Flow directly from your own code.

  • Community listing for FlowsA published Flow can be listed in the Community tab so other people can discover and run it.
  • Right-click menu on Flow nodesEmbedded Flow nodes gained a right-click menu to expand to the full graph, edit or delete the Flow.
  • Shimmer loading for mediaImages and video across run results and the Flow viewer now show a shimmer placeholder while they load instead of popping in unstyled.
  • Tooltips with doc linksSettings and canvas panels gained tooltips that link straight to the relevant documentation.
  • Aspect ratio on model nodesModel nodes can now set their own output aspect ratio from the inspector.
  • Copy-paste properties and adjustment layerNode properties can be copied and pasted between nodes, and a new adjustment layer applies changes across everything beneath it.
  • Logs in settingsA new Logs section in settings lists your API requests with filters for time, status, method and key.
  • Gmail-style multi-email invitesThe project invite field now accepts multiple emails as chips, styled like Gmail's compose field.

  • Tool nodes barred from Flow I/OTool nodes can no longer be marked as a Flow's input or output — only content nodes can.
  • Video Flow thumbnailsFlow thumbnails that are video files now render an actual frame instead of a broken image.
v0.2.1
Improvement

Groups, auto-layout and a tidier toolbar

Group frames get their own auto-layout, exports keep a history you can revisit, and brand kits extract themselves while you keep working.

Group frames and auto-layout

Auto-layout arranges connected nodes with a proper graph layout and tidies free-floating ones into a grid alongside them, and now works on a single group frame too. Drag a node into a frame and it joins the group; connections to any member of a group now read as connected to the group itself.

Export audio on its own, keep a history

Exports can now skip video entirely and produce an MP3 or WAV, and every export — audio or video — is saved to a history you can revisit across sessions and devices, with polling that picks up a render that's still in progress.

Brand kits, extracted while you wait

Give Flowy a URL and it extracts a brand kit — colors, fonts and logo — in the background while you keep working; attach it to the Director's panel and every generated scene applies it automatically.

  • Smooth zoom and canvas backgroundCanvas zoom is now eased and cursor-anchored, over a new dot-grid background.
  • Composer tools in the toolbarMode and effort controls moved into the bottom toolbar, shared between the toolbar and the chat panel.
  • Audio options on video nodesVideo generation nodes can now specify audio preferences, and generated clips with audio play with sound on by default.
  • Multi-select group move on the timelineSelecting multiple clips on the timeline now lets you move them together as a group.
  • Clearer credit purchase and upgrade promptsBuying credits or upgrading a plan is now clearer throughout the app, with prompts that reflect your actual plan and permissions.

  • Invite role can't demote the last ownerAn invite can no longer change the last owner's role, which would have left a workspace without an owner.
  • Leave WorkspaceMembers can now leave a workspace themselves from the members list, without needing an owner to remove them.
  • Removed members disconnect liveA member removed from a workspace is disconnected from any open canvas immediately, rather than on their next reload.
  • Skip the welcome flowThe welcome onboarding flow can now be skipped straight to pricing.
v0.2.0
Feature

Redesigned chat, vector nodes & a faster canvas

A big refresh to the canvas chat, a brand-new vector workflow, and motion paths for turning a still image into video — plus a faster, smoother canvas.

Vector nodes

Generate crisp, editable SVG vectors from a prompt, and vectorize any image right on the canvas. Export anything as SVG from the node menu.

Motion-path video

Draw camera and subject paths directly over a still image, and Flowy turns them into a short video. It's a way to direct your shot without ever leaving the canvas.

Canvas chat redesign

The canvas chat got a cleaner left dock and a more focused prompt bar. Media grids make it easier to follow a long generation without losing track of what's been produced so far.

New

  • Set as project thumbnailPin any node's output as your project thumbnail so your dashboard always shows the frame you want.

  • Plan dockMulti-step generations now show their plan inline, with credit estimates before you approve.

  • Signed community mediaMedia shared to the community is now served through short-lived signed URLs for tighter access control.

  • Composer overflowLong prompts no longer push the composer past the edge of the dock.
